You can also study planning abroad. International programmes are recognised in their respective countries by professional planning institutes similar to NZPI®. In Australia, you can study planning at programmes recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia. In Canada, you can study planning at programmes recognised by the Canadian Institute of Planners. In the United Kingdom, you can study planning at programmes recognised by the Royal Town Planning Institute. In the United States, you can study planning at programmes recognised by the Planning Accreditation Board associated with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
